Hi there,
My name is Carley Vernon-Rice. I’m a mom, postpartum doula, and Nurture Neuroscience Practitioner, with a background in early childhood education, culinary arts, and western herbal medicine. When I look back at all of the jobs I’ve held throughout my life, I feel as though this spiralic path has led me perfectly and imperfectly to becoming a doula. I’ve cared for people, cooked for them, loved them, and really want to understand them. I make a great doula because I take this work very seriously, but I don’t take myself too seriously. I approach my clients with respect and adaptability. I know when to be lighthearted and when to stay grounded.
Postpartum doulas serve as a bridge in care from the first few hours or days after birth, to your six-week check-up, and beyond. It’s my goal to change the way my clients think about postpartum. Rather than something to “get through,” I genuinely believe in my bones that with the proper rings of support, postpartum can be nourishing and (dare I say it?) enjoyable.

The Nurture Neuroscience approach to sleep is better sleep for everyone with zero sleep training.
